Rescuing & Rehoming Turkiye's Street Dogs and Cats

We are H.A.R.P Hunter's Animal Rescue Program, and we are dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating street dogs and cats of Turkiye and rehoming them throughout Europe and the UK.

About our work...

In Turkiye, street dogs face government culls and roundups, leaving them with no hope for survival without intervention.

Their only real chance is finding loving families in the UK and Europe. We work closely with adopters to provide boarding, complete all necessary vet care and arrange pet passports.

Our team then organises safe transport for every dog to their new home.

Without our dedicated rescuers and adopters, these animals would be lost. Contact us to save a life today.

Scooby - 4 yr old male

Scooby is a 4 yr old mixed breed male who is well socialised with other dogs, great with humans and is a big softie.

Saved from the streets of Kusadasi where he was found emaciated, bone thin and unable to defend himself.

Great on the lead, he loves his walks and is house and toilet trained.

He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and chipped and ready for international travel.

Beynam - 7 yrs male

Rescued from a kill shelter, this gorgeous sweet boy is looking for his own home, with a comfy bed.

He does have weaker back legs due to his age, but it doesn't stop him getting his zoomies and his bunny hops.

He is not on any pain meds and has been vet checked.

Bebek - approx 4 yrs old female

Once a street dog she has been at HARP for almost 3 years now.

She was pregnant when rescued and sadly lost all of her babies.

Hakan devoted his time to socialise her and help her gain her confidence as she was a broken shell of a dog.

She had been previously adopted but they turned out to be all false promises and her supposed human cut all contact with the shelter in November 2024.

She is ready to travel and has all her paperwork. She is vaccinated, neutered and chipped and is house trained.

Many more dogs and cats are searching for their forever families. Visit the Facebook page to find out more about them and read our latest news and updates.

Betty - 4 yr old female

Betty is a mixed breed who gets on well with other dogs and is loving, affectionate, girly, well socialised and would make a great family dog with young children.

Healthy and neutered she is up to date with her vaccinations and is also lead trained.

Betty's adoption costs are covered and she is ready to go!

Madona - approx 5 yrs old female

Madona is one of HARP's longest residents, she has been with us for 5 years. She is a large mixed breed dog and is happy, loving, playful and well socialised. Her favourite thing is belly rubs and fusses.

She is travel ready and desperate for her forever family.

Only her travel costs remain and she so deserves to enjoy the rest of her life in a home.

Some of our success stories

Portrait photo of a tan dog sitting indoors on a carpet in front of a sofa, vertical portrait aspect ratio.

Bear was adopted by a lovely family in the UK. They report that he has a liking for breakfast and is especially partial to fruit and yogurt at the weekends.

Bear's humans say "These street dogs, are a different kind of dog. They become the most loyal and forever grateful family members. If you are thinking about it, do it, it will be the best decision you ever made".

Aslan was adopted by an amazing family in the UK. He has since settled beautifully into life in a home and has bonded especially well with the young children.

His humans report that he loves walks and gets on well with most of the dogs he meets on his adventures.

Charlie has settled into life in the UK like he always lived there!

.

His humans describe him as the best dog that ever lived. And you can't argue with that!
